Well, you probably don't! In my latest column over at the Georgia Straight, I taste through a bunch of Portuguese wines and fall in love with the category all over again! Read it right here...
Oh, man! I've really enjoyed this wine from the Okanagan Valley's Niche Wine Co. over its last few vintages and I think the 2016 is the best yet. Yup, that's a Pinot Noir, vinified white. The folks at Niche often describe it as Champagne without the bubbles, and the flavour components of a blanc de noirs Champagne are certainly present: some plummy, peachy notes sail right along with a good dose of fresh lime. A hint of residual sugar makes it an ideal partner for spicy Thai food. More about it on their website, here. YUM!
